Happy New Year to all. May 2018 bring positive changes to the world and mankind in spite of the sometimes bleak circumstances we find ourselves surrounded with.
A Merry Christmas and Yuletide to all. Let’s make it the best one yet.
The recent end of net neutrality in the United States could lead to a lot of unnecessary hardships for independent artists everywhere, as this article from Rolling Stone (which was written before the vote occurred) illustrates. I don’t know what the future will hold for projects like Akyrviron. I can only hope that the situation won’t become as dire as predicted.
It took a little longer than expected, but here’s the demo for the Endless Horizon rerecording. I could spend another month polishing it, but I figure that can wait for now. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy! Future rerecordings might include other songs from Dreamscape Requiem, which I’ll release slowly over time until there’s enough for a compilation.
The Endless Horizon re-recording will be uploaded within the next few days. Sorry for the silence; I took a couple month break from songwriting to recharge the creative batteries and gain a new perspective. The new EP is about half way done and I hope to make much progress on it throughout the rest of the year.
A re-recorded version of “Endless Horizon” will be released in the coming weeks. I decided to do this to test out new guitar and keyboard sounds, and with it being under three minutes long, this song was the easiest choice.
The first EP is still being worked on as well, and while I have no estimated release date, progress is coming along. Everything (with the exception of drums) is being recorded by hand on this new material, with no other virtual instruments or MIDI programming being used, which should provide a more organic sound. It’s also simply more creatively engaging to play actual instruments rather than compose by clicking in notes one by one on the computer.
